The Best Neighborhood Golf Tournament EVER
Where will you be on Saturday, November 28? If you’re looking for a fun way to meet neighbors, build community, and be part of a lasting neighborhood tradition – this is it.
Not your typical golf tournament, the 13th Annual Turkey Classic started in Cedar Crossing in 2002 when four neighbors got together for a round of golf on Saturday after Thanksgiving. To be funny, they decided to provide a “Green Jacket” and trophy to the person with the highest score, rather than the lowest. Every year since, a new name is added to the engraved trophy and the Green Jacket is passed from winner to winner.
If you’ve ever wanted to try golfing – this is the place to do it. The tournament is held at St. Mark Executive Golf Course and the after party will be right there on site at the Tap in Tavern. Enjoy a day full of fun and laughs along with great food at the after party. Check in starts at noon and shot gun start will be at 1PM. The after party will be right after there on site at the brand new Tap in Tavern.
The Turkey Classic is a day full of fun and laughs. All adults are welcome to participate – women, men, residents or visitors. In addition, it’s a direct benefit to the community because once expenses are covered, the fees and sponsorship monies collected go to the San Elijo Hills Foundation to be circulated back into other community events and projects.
A big thank you to Hometown Realty who has stepped up again this year as one of the main event sponsors. If you’d like to have a presence at the event with your business, check out the sponsorship opportunities at www.turkeyclassic.com.
