We are excited to introduce you to Advanced Veterinary Care of San Elijo. They are located on Melrose right next door to Mariah’s in the space that used to be Pistachio Hair Salon.
But, this isn’t just ‘another vet office’. This is the place you have been waiting for – a veterinary hospital that is close to home and is run by true professionals who are passionate about not only animals, but being part of a family-oriented community.
Colleagues Dr. Thomas and Dr. Riehl talked for years about opening their own hospital, but finally took the plunge to make it a reality. These two women both attended UC Davis for Veterinary School and met at a vet clinic where Dr. Thomas was working and Dr. Riehl was interning.
After her kids finished high school, Dr. Thomas returned to San Diego to be close to her family and Dr. Riehl soon followed. You will quickly learn by spending time with these two that they are committed to a high standard of care. After working in a variety of settings for a number of years, they have very purposefully designed the type of facility and care they want to provide to their clients from the front desk to the back room. They are so excited to be able to have their own space and to become an integrated part of our community.
Both of these women have a strong background and experience in emergency care, so it’s great to have them right here in our backyard. They can take care of all of your pet’s routine care from vaccines to dental cleanings to spay/neutering, but they are also highly skilled for emergency situations and offer an uncompromising level of care that you won’t find in most veterinary hospitals these days.
It’s hard to find a veterinarian that you can trust and that you know is providing the best care for your pet at a fair price. Now, you don’t have to look far.
