Okay, this new business is too good not to SHARE. ReFind Kitchens is redefining kitchen remodels by using an environmentally sustainable business model that recycles high-end kitchen materials and appliances. Imagine being able to get the kitchen of your dreams at a fraction of the cost.
Here’s how it works.
ReFind Kitchens partners with homeowners. They identify one-of-a-kind new kitchens that are going to be demolished and then send in licensed and insured crews to do the deconstruction. They remove the high-end kitchen materials and appliances at no cost to the homeowner, then they essentially find a new home for it all.
It’s a win-win for everyone because the deconstruction is treated as a donation. Rather than demolishing perfectly good high-end materials, they are uninstalled and removed. The donor ends up with a potential tax savings and all of the materials are posted online for resale at 40-90% of their current retail value.
It’s a pretty amazing concept when you stop to think about it. It saves the landfills as well as labor, water, energy and raw materials. And, it simultaneously saves everyone some money.
David Berens is the owner of ReFind Kitchens. As an outdoor enthusiast and economics-driven environmentalist, David was convinced there could be a more efficient and sustainable process for remodeling. After much research, he discovered successful businesses in other parts of the country that were doing something similar, but he couldn’t find anything like it here locally. So, he incorporated his business last year and started they were able to start their first project last November. Since then, they have completed a number of projects and are now opening their showroom in Mira Mesa.
If you or someone you know is considering a remodel who would like to donate their ‘old kitchen’, reach out to David. High-end kitchens were built to last and ReFind Kitchens will find your kitchen a new home so nothing is wasted.
If you or someone you know would like to install a more high-end kitchen, but you are on a budget, ReFind Kitchens is a great place to start. Maybe your kids just headed off to college and you’re ready to give your home a new look, but you’d like to do it without spending a fortune. Or perhaps, you just moved into your first home and are looking to remodel, but your taste for design and quality exceeds your budget. Or you would feel better knowing you are buying something recycled. In either case, this could be a great solution for you.
If you are interested in donating your kitchen, the first step is to visit www.refindkitchens.com where you will find a form on their Contact Us page to submit the project or to reach out via email.
If you are interested in making a purchase from their inventory – which you will see online – you can schedule an appointment to see it. Later this month, their new showroom will be open with regular business hours (10am-6pm Thurs., Fri., Sat.) and by appointment the other days of the week. They also provide design/rendering services. Just use the contact us form to submit the dimensions of your space and they will draw up a couple of configurations so you can visualize how it would look.
