Get your tickets now for Hops in the Hills Beer Festival taking place Saturday, March 11 from 1-4PM at San Elijo Park Hilltop Field.
You won’t want to miss this event celebrating local craft beer and breweries – all while raising money for our local schools.
Tina Heap is the forward-facing force behind this event that she and her husband, Phil, dreamed up a few years back. Seeing an opportunity to bring beer lovers and our local craft beer community together for a cause – Tina and Phil started laying the foundation for this event, researching other festivals and making local connections. Tina and Phil are long-time residents of San Elijo Hills. Tina has served on the PTO in a fundraising and corporate sponsorship capacity for a number of years. Phil has also served on the PTO and in youth sports and other non-profit leadership capacities. Together, they have created what they envision as a long-standing and growing tradition for San Elijo Hills and North County in the years ahead.
Breweries donate the beer and this type of event can be a fantastic fundraising opportunity. All proceeds from Hops in the Hills will be donated to the San Elijo Elementary and Double Peak Schools. The Heaps are excited to be bringing the PTOs of both schools together to raise funds – sharing the benefits.
It’s going to be a fun afternoon with 20+ breweries (all local) participating – IPAs and other hop-forward beers to taste, amazing food and music playing all afternoon. Tickets are $40 and include 10- 3oz tastings and a souvenir cup.
Let’s make this a successful event – working together as a community to support our schools while celebrating the local craft beer industry.
