Cari Shaffer moved to San Elijo Hills almost 4 years ago. She and her husband have three kids (ages 23, 22 and 10) and so Cari jumped right in getting involved in the community. Cari and her husband own ComForCare Home Care in San Diego – a premier provider of non-medical, private duty home care services for people of all ages. Cari is also a Realtor recently joining the team at Sustainable Realty Group (SRG).
But what you might not know is that she has a passion for music. Cari loves to sing. Influenced by Eva Cassidy, singing is what makes Cari happy and for 15 years, she was the lead singer in a band in Phoenix.
Today, Cari is excited to announce that she has formed her own band – Midnight Tide.
A couple years ago, Cari volunteered to provide music for the San Elijo Hills Women’s Club fall fundraiser. Pulling a group together to perform at the event sparked a desire to put together her own band and it’s been a couple years in the making.
Finally, they are breaking out as Midnight Tide – a group of five local artists that are ready to bring soul, R&B, blues and just plain fun to local events, parties, festivals, wineries and casinos.
Cari is joined by Mike E.p a full-time musician from Ocean Beach who plays the keyboard for Midnight Tide, as well as Jim Hathaway on the drums, Judd Austin on guitar and Mike Orr – a local San Elijo resident on bass.
Midnight Tide will be playing at a local fundraiser here in San Elijo Hills (Moulin Rouge) on June 3.
They will also be playing quite a bit in Temecula at the local wineries including Friday, April 14 at Bel Vino Winery.
To follow the fun, head to Facebook where they will post their upcoming events. They are also available for private parties and events – so, reach out to Cari if you’d like more information at 760-566-6250.
