New Soccer Club Comes to North County

What happens when you are a huge soccer fan and wish you could watch games closer to home and with more of your own community? Well, how about starting your own soccer club? A big undertaking no doubt, but that’s exactly what Jason Barbato has done.

Lifetime Southern California resident and realtor at Hometown Realty in San Marcos, Jason, is bringing a new soccer club to North County. North County Battalion is a grass-roots effort that is taking North County by storm. As part of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the club will compete in the West Region’s Southwest Conference. And Jason has big visions for this club and what it will do to bring our community together.

A long-time fan of soccer, Jason especially loves attending games and the sense of community that thrives in the sport. With all of the youth soccer clubs here in North County, the idea of bringing the game into the community this year seems like a natural extension – a way for families to gather and enjoy the sport together. Jason is very excited to use the club to help support and promote local youth clubs as well.

The first round of try-outs takes place on November 1 and games will begin in April. Get involved!
