Night of the Arts at San Elijo Middle School – May 4, 2017

A special event takes place here in San Elijo Hills on Thursday evening, May 4.

San Elijo Middle School is hosting their annual Night of the Arts and it is open to the entire community. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to see what has been going on this year as students showcase their talents and skills through music and projects from their elective classes.

Grab a neighbor or friend and make a night of it. Food trucks will be on-site from 4:45PM to 7:30PM – including The FoodDood, Devilicious, The Rush Coffee Truck and more.

Night of the Arts includes displays from Art, ASB, Band, 6th Grade Expo, Spanish, Chinese, Technology/Robotics and Yearbook. It is truly exciting to see the variety and creative expression on display. This year’s theme is “Timeless” – which coincides with the Yearbook theme this year. You will see a variety of art projects from EXPO. The award-winning band will be performing live. Technology & Robotics will be displaying games that students created for fellow students with disabilities. You will see performances, poetry, cooking, and more.

We hope you will come and join the fun as we celebrate the talents and skills of our students and staff at SEMS. From the beginning, SEMS has created a culture that celebrates the whole child. They also feel a strong connection to the community at large and opening the doors on nights like this is an opportunity to foster that connection.

Maybe you have a younger student who will be attending SEMS in the future? Great time to take a peek at what lies ahead and ask questions. Maybe you have a talent in one of the areas that is being showcased (art, music, technology, etc.)? You might have ideas, talents or skills to contribute. Maybe you just love to see creativity on display?

Stop by. Make a night of it. Celebrate the arts in San Elijo!

Night of the Arts takes place at San Elijo Middle School (Performing Arts Center), 1600 Schoolhouse Way on Thursday, May 4 from 5:30-7:30PM. This free event is open to all.
