With fall sports now in full swing, no one wants to cut their season short due to an injury. And, in many cases, injuries can be prevented by keeping the body agile and by doing things that facilitate faster recovery – eating well, resting and stretching.
Whether you are a runner, a triathlete, swimmer, hockey player, soccer player, football…you understand the importance of stretching. But, sometimes it’s hard to effectively stretch your own muscles – not to mention, it’s just so easy to put off, until eventually you end up injured.
We are very lucky to have Stretch U right in our backyard. Many people drive from Fallbrook and surrounding areas to take advantage of stretch therapy services at Stretch U. But, we can get there in just minutes to take advantage of 20, 40 and 60 minutes sessions that utilize passive stretching, contract-relax techniques and neural flossing glides to all major muscles groups.
If you have children in sports, this is a fantastic way to ensure you kids are doing all they can to prevent injuries. Lots of parents bring their kids to Stretch U because they are very active in soccer, football, swimming and a variety of competitive sports. Not only is the Stretch U process fantastic for improving circulation in the muscles, tendons, joints and fascial components, it also helps your child become more aware of their own body and where they hold tension. With regular stretching sessions, kids are able to identify where their weak spots are. They start to notice what is ‘normal’ and what is not normal for them when it comes to muscle tension and this can be a critical part of helping prevent injury or catching something before it becomes a bigger issue.
Stretch U provides services for all ages. You don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from their stretching techniques. Depending on the session, your certified technician takes your body through about 110 different stretches. They also provide targeted stretch therapy if you’re dealing with a problem area.
The Stretch U protocol was developed by a physical therapist with over twenty years of stretching therapy experience. His manual stretching protocol has been taught to each of the Certified Stretch U Technicians so you will have the same experience regardless of the studio you choose to visit. Stretch U currently has 10 locations in three states. And, we are lucky to have one of these locations right in our backyard. So, stop in for a visit. Your first stretch is only $20 and they can set you up on a regular schedule based on your needs and budget.
Stretching is something you often don’t fully appreciate until you are faced with an injury or limitation. With Stretch U, you can get yourself set up with a regular stretching routine that will help you or your kids prevent injury, while also giving the immediate benefits you feel by improving your circulation.
