Oh, what a night it was! On Saturday evening, October 22, the Williams Barn in San Marcos provided a festive backdrop as party goers in western attire feasted on delicious barbeque, danced the night away to the lively sounds of Cowboy Jack and the North County Boys, and bid on an amazing array of silent and live auction items throughout the evening.
The San Elijo Hills Women’s Club’s fall fundraiser, Hoedown in the Hills, was a rousing success. . .a fun-filled evening that raised thousands of dollars for one of the club’s charities, Straight from the Heart, a local 501c3 support and outreach charitable organization which serves over 5000 North County foster children and their families.
Grateful and heartfelt thank you’s are extended to all of the event’s sponsors, to those businesses that donated exciting auction items, and to those who supported the event through their attendance and participation.
You are Invited!
The next meeting of the San Elijo Hills Women’s Club (SEHWC) will be held on Tuesday, November 8 at 7PM. All are invited to come and learn about Women’s Empowerment (WE), a non-profit dedicated to eliminating extreme poverty around the world. WE, a San Diego-based charity, was founded by local women committed to helping women and children out of poverty, not only in our community, but throughout the world. Through donations, SEHWC participates in WE’s mission to reduce poverty by providing micro loans and social support to motivated women who work tirelessly to improve their lives, thereby strengthening their families and communities.
At this meeting, Paige Bradley, the new Executive Director of Women’s Empowerment International, will give an inspiring presentation on WE’s exciting new program in Haiti, a country currently struggling to recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Matthew. Ms. Bradley will also share WE’s bold vision for expanding its impact in San Diego as well as internationally.
If you would like to attend this meeting or any club event, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and request to be added to the invitation list. Please visit the SEHWC website at sehwc.weebly.com
