Student Travel & Service Learning Opportunities

July 29, 2016 By Karen Friend Smith Leave a Comment

If you are looking for a way to broaden your child’s experience and worldview, we want to take a moment to introduce you to Heather Weiner. Heather lives here in San Elijo with her husband, Scott, and her two daughters Aubrey (6) and Brooklyn (7).

Heather is a high school teacher and has been teaching for 16 years. Each summer, she takes students on travel abroad programs. For most of these students, it is their first time leaving the country and she loves watching how students become more independent, confident and curious as they learn about culture, language, architecture, history and art in the real world.

This connection to Heather is a perfect opportunity for your kids to get out, explore the world, and see culture from a new vantage point with someone who is experienced and can help provide both perspective and purpose to the travel experience.

Here are just a few of her upcoming trips…take a look, reach out to Heather and start saving up for the adventure of a lifetime!
