In December, neighbors in Woodley’s Glen gathered for their Annual Chili Cook-Off. This is such a fantastic tradition and one that grows and deepens with each year.
This year, 10 cooks competed for the coveted title. Participants pay an entry fee and the proceeds are then donated to the winner’s charity of choice. This year’s event raised $700 and the champion title went to Hank Meyer who chose Solutions for Change as his charity of choice.
What a fantastic example of how you can turn a neighborhood gathering into something for the greater good!
If you drove through the community, you also know this is one of the neighborhoods with the best holiday lights. They created quite a display on their cul-de-sac, connecting all of the houses together with lights.
