Turkey Classic 2017 Champion

The 15th Annual Turkey Classic was a day to remember! This long-standing neighborhood tradition, hosted by the San Elijo Hills Foundation, is always a blast because everyone brings a spirit of community and fun to the big event!

The Turkey Classic recognizes the person with the highest score as the event winner. This year’s winner was Kimberly Tullis – a long-time resident of San Elijo Hills. It was also her first time golfing! Last year’s winner, Mary Maloney, was there to pass down the coveted Turkey Classic Green Jacket and trophy which have been part of the tradition for the last fifteen years. Honorable mention also goes to Johnny Walker who had the lowest tournament score.

A big thank you goes out to Hometown Realty as the platinum ‘Butterball” Sponsor. Each year, they contribute not only their sponsor dollars, but their spirit of community support and fun. Mary Maloney also generously donated 3 Day/2 Night stay at Desert Princess Golf Resort which went to the Golden Ticket winner.

In addition, a big thank you to Brett Gottlieb of Comprehensive Advisor and Dana Albert of Merrill Lynch for their sponsorship and support. St. Mark’s Golf, Stella Public House & Halcyon also generously donated gift cards to all of the players as well as some fantastic prizes.

And if all of the golfing fun wasn’t enough, the opportunity drawing sent lucky players home with all kinds of goodies, such as golf for four at St. Mark’s Golf, a $100 Players Sports Bar Gift Card, Adidas Golf Shoes, TaylorMade Driver, Callaway Golf Balls, Clippers Sports Memorability, Brightwood Candles, Leap Coffee Gift Cards, wine, golf shirts and more.

The Turkey Classic is such a fun community event! You should mark your calendars right now for this year – the Saturday after Thanksgiving – November 24 and be ready to come play with us! To learn more, visit www.turkeyclassic.com.
