A 22-year-old migrant worker from Indonesia who went to Taiwan for work last month has won the top prize in a lottery scratch-off game, worth NT$1 million (US$34,270). The unnamed man bought the ticket at an outlet on Dongmen Street in Hsinchu City’s East District on February 14. He was intrigued by the large crowd of people queuing up to buy tickets and wanted to try his luck.
Purchasing a lottery ticket involves picking six numbers from one to 55. The winning jackpot sequence is drawn at random. Each ticket also includes a code, which can be entered online to win the prize money.
While a person can’t play a local lotto in Indonesia due to strict gambling laws, he or she can play a variety of online games from the comfort of his or her home. Many of these sites offer a free trial period, so players can test out the site before they make a deposit. It’s important to find a trusted online lottery website to ensure that your financial information is safe and secure.
